Psalm 100: A Psalm of Thanksgiving

Many of the greatest expressions of thanksgiving have occurred under circumstances so debilitating some wonder why people are able to even give thanks. It would seem the more reasonable response would be bitterness and ingratitude. However, it is not our circumstances that initiate the thanksgiving yet the unchanging character of God that we are able to offer our thanks to Him. Because He is worthy to be praised throughout all seasons of life whether in happy times, sad times, sickness, health, in prosperity or in our brokenness. We can offer our lives in gladness and enter into His presence because we are His. I am so thankful for the life God has given me. For my family, my friends, my two beautiful girls, my husband, the many problems I have faced and most of all for the faith God has graced me with. ME!! Of all people. Who am I that He would choose to use me in ANY way amazes and humbles me daily.

A Psalm of Thanksgiving

Make a joyful shout to the Lord all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations.
